Specialties

The following specialties are being taught at the faculty: "Agronomy", "Ecology and Environment Protection". The specialists' qualifications are: agronomist; engineer on ecology and environment protection.

The following scientific degrees can be obtained: Bachelor, Master.

 About the Faculty

There are 6 chairs at the faculty:
-Plants' biology;
-Farming;
-Plants' growing;
-Agricultural chemistry and soil science;
-Fruit growing and vegetable growing;
-Selection and plants' protection.

From the very beginning of the faculty's foundation, the strong teaching staff was formed with many gifted agronomists in it. Today 57 teachers work at the faculty, including 9 Doctors of Science, Professors, 25 Candidates of Science, and Assistant Professors.

All the necessary conditions have been made to conduct different investigations on quantitative genetics, morphology and anatomy of plants, fertility rise of eroded soils etc. Faculty teaching staff successfully cooperates with foreign partners in the network of scientific research programs.

The faculty is situated in the separate building; there are well equipped laboratories, computer study, conference hall, an experimental field, where students do their practice, conduct experiments on growing the new sorts of winter wheat, pea, lentil and vegetables. There is a separate hostel for nonresident students and aspirants where they can stay for their training period. The payment is US$15 per month.

Terms of studying
Terms of studying:
Bachelor training - 4 years;
Master training - 5 years.
