Education The University is the oldest (the foundation year is 1921) state educational establishment in Ukraine of the IVth (the highest) accreditation level. The University holds the license of The Ministry of science and education of Ukraine AB № 420639 of 18.11.2008.

Training of foreign citizens is carried out only on a contract basis. The University provides a stage system of specialists’ preparation:
Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens
Licence of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine АВ № 420639 of 18.11.2008 The department prepares foreign students to enter higher educational establishments of medical, biological, technical, engineering, economical and humanitarian directions of study. Training at the Preparatory Department gives foreign students an opportunity to learn Russian language, to master special terminology and to get acquainted with the future specialization. Foreign students are treated with attentiveness, friendly attitude and university staff's thorough help. Term of study – 1 year. Study at the preparatory department starts on the 1st of September. After graduation from the Preparatory department the students are given certificates, which enable them to enter higher educational establishments of Ukraine and Russia. The Preparatory department organizes the students' leisure time: visits to theatres, cinemas, exhibitions; taking part in concerts and celebration of holidays; going on excursions etc.
Rules of Admission to the Preparatory department
Arrival for study at the Preparatory Department starts from the 25th of August and lasts till the 15th of November. To get an official invitation for study at the Preparatory Department, an applicant has to send via fax (+380642 343692) or e-mail ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) a copy of his passport and a copy of an Education certificate. Issuing of invitations for study and documents submitting lasts from the 15th of MAY till the 10th of NOVEMBER and is carried out via official representative companies the University has collaboration agreements with. Invitations for study are issued in 10-14 days term. Express-mail delivery takes 3-5 days. All the expenses on issuing an invitation and its delivery are to be paid by the applicant himself.
After getting the invitation it is necessary to apply for visa at the Embassy of Ukraine. The applicant should submit the following documents:
After getting visa, no later then 5 days before the arrival, it is necessary to inform the University on the fax: +38 0642 343692 about the date, time of arrival and flight number for arranging meeting of the applicant at the airport. After arrival to Ukraine the candidate for study should immediately (within two days) submit the documents to the University for registration, prolonging visa and enrolment to the Preparatory Department. Besides, the candidate should pay the educational fees for the whole period of study, hostel payment and medical insurance for one year. Medical Insurances for urgent medical aid and for outpatient treatment valid during one year costs 100$ Accommodation at the University’s hostel:
*the payment should be done in hrivnas (national currency of Ukraine) according to the rate of exchange of National Bank of Ukraine at the moment of payment. We guarantee excellent quality of education and interesting leisure time.
Rules of Admission to the Faculties The University accepts for education foreign citizens who have completed secondary education and have no contra-indications for living in the climatic conditions of Ukraine and for further training according to chosen specialty. Foreigners who have graduated from the foreign higher educational institutions are enrolled to the University for further education in accordance with the documents confirming their educational and qualification level. Foreign citizens, who are fluent in Russian, can be enrolled to the chosen speciality without study at the preparatory department, but according to the results of the Russian language test. Training of foreign citizens is carried out only by contract basis.
Educational Fees
Post Graduate Course Those who wish to enter the post-graduate course should have completed higher education (Masters’ degree) and abilities for scientific and research work. Foreign citizens entering the post-graduate course should provide, in addition to the abovementioned documents, the list of their published scientific works, stating the place of publication, signed by the administration of the educational institution or organization the applicant works at. In case if the applicant doesn’t have any published scientific works, he should provide scientific reports (summaries) on chosen speciality. Admission to the Post Graduate Course is carried out according to the following specialities:
All the students are provided with the rooms in the hostel. The hostel is situated at the university campus. Shops, dinning-hall, cafe, sauna with laundry, sports complex, Internet centers and banks are situated there as well. Students live in rooms with two or three places. There are halls with TV sets, sofas, armchairs, kitchen rooms and phones with international lines equipped on each floor of the hostel. There is also a round-clock duty on each floor. Students’ food, transport and domestic services expenses make about 200-300USD per month. The best ways of arrival for study are via airport “Lugansk” (transit via Moscow “Vnukovo”), airport “Donetsk”(150 km from Lugansk), airport “Boryspil” (Kiev).
Lugansk Lugansk is the administrative, cultural, financial and industrial centre of Lugansk region, the eastern region of Ukraine located at the border with Russian Federation . The town was founded in 1795. Lugansk is the road and railway conjunction. There is also an airport in it. The population of the town is about half of a million people. The population of Lugansk region is 2.6 million people, its area is about 26.7 thousand square kilometers. The leading economic branches of Lugansk region are coal production, metallurgy, machine building, production of food and chemicals and also agriculture. There are splendid theatres, museums and libraries (state ones and of higher educational establishments) in town; exhibitions in different branches of art, science and techniques are held regularly.
